Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/52.0.2707.0 Safari/537.36 Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. Click on YOU icon 2. Click "Sign into Chrome" 3. Window opens, but nothing happens What is the expected behavior? Log in screen should open to allow user to enter their login credentials What went wrong? Blue icon spins, but sign in screen does not populate. Did this work before? Yes About 2 weeks ago Chrome version: 52.0.2707.0 Channel: n/a OS Version: 10.0 Flash Version: Shockwave Flash 21.0 r0 This function stopped working in Chrome at the beginning of March and thus the reason that I switched to Canary. Now neither will allow me to sign in. Actions/results are identical in both versions.

I ran scenario on Windows on Chrome built from ToT. It works as expected, although there was couple of seconds delay with spinner before dialog was shown. Navigating to https://accounts.google.com/EmbeddedSignIn... worked fine. cath@, kavvaru@: Could you capture network trace while navigating to https://accounts.google.com/EmbeddedSignIn... URL and post resulting file here? Here is how to do it: - Open new tab, navigate to about:net-internals - Open another tab, navigate to https://accounts.google.com/EmbeddedSignIn?continue=chrome-extension%3A%2F%2Fmfffpogegjflfpflabcdkioaeobkgjik%2Fsuccess.html%3Faccess_point%3D3%26source%3D3&service=chromiumsync&hl=en-US&source=chrome&flow=signin wait for error message - Switch back to about:net-internals tab, write some description and click "Save to file"

re #11: The fact that form was shown and you were able to enter username indicates no issues connecting to google servers. Let's see why you don't see this form when clicking "Sign in to Chrome" cath@, Could you take network trace when you click "Sign in to Chrome" button? Here are instructions: - Open new tab, navigate to about:net-internals - Open another tab, navigate to about:settings, click "Sign in to Chrome", wait for about 15 seconds. - Switch back to about:net-internals tab, write some description and click "Save to file"

The menu displays a gaia sign in web page, so there is likely to be some delay, depends on the network. It is also possible that the page never loads if the network is down. Could possible check network state and show a better error message?
