Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.3; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/50.0.2661.75 Safari/537.36 Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. Click on "Bookmarks" menu on top-right corner 2. Go to "Import bookmarks and settings..." option 3. Select "Mozilla Firefox" from the list 4. Click on "Import" 5. Open the URL (in Chrome) for which Mozilla Firefox had saved your login password 6. Check if it shows login information auto-filled What is the expected behavior? Chrome should import saved passwords from Mozilla Firefox (and other browsers) correctly. What went wrong? It did not import saved password correctly. Did this work before? I've had the same problem. This has not been fixed as of October 2016. I followed the instructions and got a Success! response, but when I went to Manage Passwords, my FF passwords were not there! This apparently has been an issue since 2013...shouldn't it be fixed by now?

I've also encountered the same problem including the success message and the lack of moved passwords.

Well I would really love to give chrome a try. I have tried twice now and the last time was over a year ago. The same thing that kept me away then is keeping me away now... I NEED my usernames and passwords, and ideally I need my form history as well because I don't always remember what log in I use so this is REALLY frustrating that over a year later this still isn't fixed. I have a feeling Chrome has gotten so big and popular they don"t feel like they need to stay on top of things anymore because people will just use it anyway...

Win8.1. FF 50.1.0 Chrome Version 55.0.2883.87 m (64-bit). Here's what I discovered and my solution. Export FF passwords as CSV. This is the format you get: hostname username password formSubmitURL httpRealm usernameField passwordField Notice 7 Columns in Excel. Chrome only wants 4 Columns: name url username password Where name=hostname, url=formsubmitURL, username & password. So with some cut/copy/paste, redo the FF passwords in the Chrome format. Import. Then close Chrome and reopen. You can see the imported passwords in settings, advanced settings, manage passwords. Once you start putting your username in a site, it will popup and password will be imported. Hope this helps. (ps was getting fed up with FF memory usage and speed)

Running Chrome Version 69.0.3497.100 on Ubuntu 18.04.1 and password import from Firefox is still not working. As stated before an error message instead of the success message would be a first step... |
