Sometimes many input tools icon will disappear when switch input tools, e.g. Pinyin ,korean etc. Occasionally, US vk lost in menu list, log out then log in again, it will display, only repro one time;

By 'icon disappears', do you mean the flash when switching between XKB/non-XKB IMEs?

Yes, When from US keyboard switch to Chinese/Korean, Japan ,T13n etc. icon will disappear

Check in M52.0.2727.0 canary , Platform 8303 clapper, Press ctrl+shift+space key switch input tools , opt-in icon in shelf will not disappear , but if lock screen,then unlock again, switch from xkb to non-xkb again, opt-in icon in shelf will disappear , switch to another any input tools ,icon will not show again;
