Left click stops working after chrome offers to save password

UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_11_3) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/49.0.2623.112 Safari/537.36

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Log in to any service
2. Save password prompt appears
3. Clear anywhere else on the page

What is the expected behavior?
Left click should work.

What went wrong?
Left click stops working and will only respond to double clicks. Cursor pointer (hand pointer) not appearing

Did this work before? N/A 

Chrome version: 49.0.2623.112  Channel: stable
OS Version: OS X 10.11.3

I cannot reproduce this behavior with 50.0.2661.66 (beta) or 52.0.2705.0 (canary) on 10.11.4.

Do *all* left clicks stop working? Can you still drag to select text or similar?
If you make a fresh profile, does this happen in the fresh profile as well?

Tested on a fresh profile and confirmed that the browser no longer exhibit this behaviour. 

Will look into possible extension bugs
