Issue descriptionChrome Version : 49.0.2623.112 What steps will reproduce the problem? 1. Visit a good number of bug reports on this issue tracker. 2. Type bugs in the omnibar. (Shows search prompt, hostname match, and 3 specific matches. I have search suggestions disabled.) 3. Move two lines down. 4. Press Shift+Del to delete item. Repeat until all 3 items are deleted. Now no more results are shown in the omnibox. When you want to delete the other items, you have to delete or re-type at least one character of https://bugs.chromium.org (which is now focused) to update the results and continue deleting. It'd be more convenient to use this useful (but probably little-known) feature if the omnibox was updated immediately.

Rerunning autocompletion can lead to result instability in the face of asynchronous results, e.g. search suggestions. It requires some seriously crazy plumbing to try to preserve the existing selection even across potentially losing and then regaining the selected item. We used to do something like this many years ago, and it turned out that things were simpler, less buggy, and often less strange to use when we did not rerun autocompletion. The case of trying to delete tons of items from the omnibox dropdown is extremely rare; most people use the history page to do this sort of thing. So the cost/benefit here doesn't make sense.
