Basic realm message getting ignored after V49*

Reported by muzammil...@gmail.com, Apr 11 2016

Issue description

UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_11_3) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/49.0.2623.112 Safari/537.36

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Setup basic auth via any web-sever
2. Send custom challenge message via "Basic realm"
3. Open the url in in chrome, you will get a stander message instead of the custom, but this works on firefox

What is the expected behavior?
As I want users to provide their password along with two factor auth token, custom message is needed. I see the message in the header but not on the challenge pop-up

What went wrong?
Header and Pop-up challenge do not match

Internet Explorer 11 mentions that text somewhere in the dialog, Chrome 49 does not.
