Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_11_3) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/49.0.2623.112 Safari/537.36 Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. Setup basic auth via any web-sever 2. Send custom challenge message via "Basic realm" 3. Open the url in in chrome, you will get a stander message instead of the custom, but this works on firefox What is the expected behavior? As I want users to provide their password along with two factor auth token, custom message is needed. I see the message in the header but not on the challenge pop-up What went wrong? Header and Pop-up challenge do not match ======== HTTP/1.1 401 Unauthorized Server: nginx/1.7.9 Date: Mon, 11 Apr 2016 07:08:10 GMT Content-Type: text/html Content-Length: 596 WWW-Authenticate: Basic realm="Login required username password and VIP token" ========== Did this work before? Yes Before version 49 Chrome version: 49.0.2623.112 Channel: stable OS Version: OS X 10.11.3 Flash Version: Shockwave Flash 21.0 r0

Example - http://www.pagetutor.com/keeper/mystash/secretstuff.html It has - WWW-Authenticate:Basic realm="My Secret Area" Internet Explorer 11 mentions that text somewhere in the dialog, Chrome 49 does not.
