<textarea> element with readonly attrib does not function properly

Issue description
Chrome Version : 49.0.2623.110 (Official Build) m (32-bit)

Other browsers tested:
Add OK or FAIL, along with the version, after other browsers where you
have tested this issue:
Safari:not tested
Firefox:OK, version 45.0.1
IE:not tested
What steps will reproduce the problem?
display a <textarea> element with the "readonly" attribute
What is the expected result?
a text that is not editable should appear, that still allows selecting and highlighting and copy/paste functionality
What happens instead?
Text appears but you can't click on it or select it or highlight it, or copy/paste from it.
Please provide any additional information below. Attach a screenshot if
possible.

I think the current behavior is: - No text caret at all - We can select text by mouse dragging - We can't change text caret position and text selection by keyboard. - We can copy the selected text by context menu or Ctrl-C (⌘-C) - We can't paste text into it because it's read-only. stevec1337@, are they what you see? |
