It looks like they add the 'autocomplete="off"' attribute to the address field only if you click on it. So the attribute is not present when we fill from the name. They also replace the content of the address field if you enter it manually and then click on the field. So the disappearing is not due to Autofill. I would say this is working as intended. Thanks!

I don't think I agree that this is WAI. It looks like a bug in Chrome's autofill. I think that what matters is if autocomplete=off is present at time of fill. If it's added later on click but we've already filled, we should not remove the text we've already autofilled.

Here is what I get when I try to reproduce:
I fill from the first name field. At that time there is no autocomplete off attribute present. Autofill fills everything so this works.
If I later click on the Address field, the filled text is removed and the autocomplete off attribute is added. However, it is not Autofill that removes the value, it is the site itself. It adds a placeholder ("Enter a location") that was not there initially. If I fill the input manually (without Autofill) and then click on it again, the text I typed is also removed and replaced by the placeholder. That's why I think this is WAI.

Ah, sorry, I misunderstood your earlier point. Then agreed this is WAI and is a bug on Express' end. |
