What steps will reproduce the problem?
(1) Load the page
(2) Scroll up and down slowly watching the edge of the content

The content seems to always checkerboard like there's no repaint at all.

On a Pixel 2 when when scrolling with repaint rects turned on the entire viewport flashes green when moving even 1 pixel. So we're repainting the entire page as you scroll constantly.

This might be related to  issue 599682 .

This page no longer repaints on every scroll on high-dpi screens. There is
a repaint once when starting to scroll that I think is due to a style change
to make the LHS content implement pos:sticky-like behavior.

I also can no longer reproduce the original reported behavior of the bug.

Going to close this bug, please comment if you can still repro.
