Regression: Pointer flickers between I-beam pointer and arrow pointer on moving mouse over 'Search settings' field.

Issue descriptionChrome Version: 51.0.2699.0 (Official Build) ced319c78e3f9acc95394d81cc6763ed9a9e8371-refs/heads/master@{#384828}-32/64 bit OS: Windows(Win 7-Aero enabled), Linux Steps: 1. Launch Chrome, navigate to chrome://settings and open Dev-tool. 2. Enable and the disable Device mode by clicking on 'Toggle device toolbar' icon. 3. Simultaneously move mouse over 'Search settings' field and observe the pointer. Actual: Pointer flickers between I-beam pointer and arrow pointer on moving mouse over 'Search settings' field. Expected: Pointer should not flicker between I-beam pointer and arrow pointer on moving mouse over 'Search settings' field. This is a regression issue broken in M-51, below is bisect info. Good build: 51.0.2672.0 Bad build: 51.0.2673.0 Narrow bisect: https://chromium.googlesource.com/chromium/src/+log/71331253d6537b9409518dec2368388c5d73cb94..e27ff645c0bfb460855b825f08beda583d71a8e5?pretty=fuller&n=100 Suspecting: r380212 ? Please help to re-assign if your change is not the cause for this issue. Note: This issue is not seen on Mac OS.

Issue still reproduced(though little hard to reproduce/observe it) on latest M51, 51.0.2700.0 on Win 7 and Ubuntu 14.04. But not a blocker issue.Hence removed the blocker label. Please do add if you feel so.

I think this is overlay messing up with cursor. It disappears after 2 seconds, so it's not worth fixing. |
