Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/51.0.2687.0 Safari/537.36 Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. AJAX or otherwise get a deep JSON object 2. Log it to the console 3. Expand nodes What is the expected behavior? You can view all nodes What went wrong? Usually around 3 nodes deep (it varies somewhat) the scroll position jumps to the top of the console, and you can no longer scroll down to the object (as you approach it, the scroll jumps to the top again) Did this work before? Yes ~ M50/M49 Chrome version: 51.0.2687.0 Channel: n/a OS Version: 10.0 Flash Version: Shockwave Flash 21.0 r0 Completely breaks object inspection.

So I logged "location" object to console and kept expanding its sub-nodes. However, nothing broke for me, the scrolling and everything worked as expected. Could you please provide your exact steps?

Here's an object that I can reliably replicate this in the inspector with (attached).
Try first running this in the console:
```
> i=0;
> while(i<100){console.log(i);++i;}
```
Then, after that's done, do something like
```
> o = PASTED_OBJ_HERE
> o
```
Then try to explore the object.

Still no luck. I tried both "dock to right" and "dock to bottom" modes, both in console drawer and console panel. There might be some minor details that causes this behavior. Do you have custom formatters enabled/used? Any other specific DevTools options?

I usually see it in the console panel, but here are my settings. I can replicate it in extensionless incognito on two different machines, but my default I have HTTPSEverywhere installed.

I have the same settings, yes. Any chance you would be able to do a screencast?

Absolutely -- what would be convenient?

Anything will work for me - simple mp4 file/vimeo/youtube

Here you go: https://youtu.be/Hr8LJUroXHk If it's still potato quality due to upload post-processing, try https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B6LJvOj7KC-cbm81anZEaHNGbTg Sorry about the FLV, forgot to change the defaults.

Thanks so much for the screencast! Indeed, this is unbearable. I still unable to reproduce this - looks like something's going on with scroll here. @cbiesinger: could it be a flexbox bug?

Can you try again in Canary 51.0.2700.0 (or later)? This should be fixed now. |
