Settings page is different depending on Android device

Reported by joshnies...@gmail.com, Apr 2 2016

Issue description

Chrome Version : 49.x
OS Version: Lollipop
URLs (if applicable) :

Hi,

This is a post on the Google Product Forums. Can anyone from development enlighten me on why the settings page differs depending on device?

"I've got Chrome 49 installed on 3 devices - Samsung Galaxy S5 Neo, Galaxy Tab 4 and an M8S tv box.

Both Samsung devices are running Lollipop, while the M8S runs KitKat.

On the Samsungs I have the settings in the attached screenshot

However, the M8S is missing basic settings, including set homepage and merge tabs and apps (see the photo). Is there a way to make all of the options available on the M8S?

I'm not sure if this is a bug or just a difference based on hardware or Android version. If someone could advise I'd appreciate it - I hate having the last tab open on startup on the m8s."

I'm not familiar with any Chrome build that we produce for an 'M8S tv box'. My guess is that the manufacturer took a build of Chromium and produced their own, with some modifications. In any case, you should probably start your inquiries there.
