Security: HTML code problem allowing anyone to see your password.

Reported by gmamafi...@gmail.com, Apr 2 2016

Issue description

If you're in a public space and you save you password, the next person can go to inspect and where it says type, instead of "password" you can type "text" which changes the dots into letter and you have access to their email and if they have the same password for everything then they could have a huge security breach.

Status: WontFix (was: Unconfirmed)
Hello, thank you for the report.

At no point while working on a shared (public) device should you be leaving your Chrome profile logged in while not using the machine. Saved passwords (and auto-complete) are tied to your profile. Nor should you leave your own personal device unlocked while away from it.
