Suspend/Resume seems broken, results in crash and reboot (upon lid close or timeout due to inactivity)

Reported by sco...@scosol.org, Apr 1 2016

Issue description

UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; CrOS x86_64 8104.1.0) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/51.0.2688.0 Safari/537.36
Platform: 8104.1.0 (Official Build) dev-channel peppy

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Boot up chromebook, log in
2. Close lid, triggering suspend
3. Open lid, see dev-mode bootup screen indicating machine has rebooted

What is the expected behavior?
Close lid -> suspend.
Open lid -> resume to login screen, login, back in action where I left off

What went wrong?
The machine/OS reboots either when trying to suspend or trying to resume, not exactly sure which.

Did this work before? Yes Forever until the last update.

Chrome version: 51.0.2688.0  Channel: dev
OS Version: 8104.1.0
Flash Version: 21.0.0.197-r1

I love my Chromebook and recommend them to everyone I know!
