Data loss when Chrome apk downgraded from v49 to v43

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Installed the latest Chrome 49.0.2623.105 on N910F (Note 4) device
2. Uninstalled the updates as I wanted old Chrome APK experience.
The current version is now 43.0.2357.93 after uninstall 
3. All the data is lost including bookmarks, history, cache etc. 

OS:Android 5.1.1 Lollipop 

What is the expected behavior?
APK downgrade is resulting in Data loss for Chrome on Android

What went wrong?
All the data is lost including bookmarks, history, cache etc. 
Ideally if Sync is not done then there is no way to recover such data.

OS Version: Lollipop (5.1)

Browser Data (bookmarks, history, cache) is lost when APK updates are uninstalled.
