Security: Gmail opens in new window with enter key

While logging to gmail from chrome , After entering credentials and hit enter key the mail opens in new window . This is not it should work . 
It occurs especially when the password contains some special characters in the end or upper case letter . 

This is sometimes irritating and a security concern . 

Get this fixed .

Hello, thank you for the report.

I encourage you to fill out some greater detail about the problem you are experiencing.  I cannot replicate the described "new window" on latest Chrome stable (49.0.2623.110).
