Chrome crash and not responding

OS: Android 6.0.1

What steps will reproduce the problem?
(1) Install Chrome Dev 51.0.2695.0 and open it
(2) Wait for about 5 min
(3) Browser crashes and not responding

What is the expected output?
Not crash
What do you see instead?
Browser crashes

This happened on both Nexus 9 (android 6.0.1) and Nexus 7 (android 5.1.1), maybe not related to sync.

Observed this crash with below steps:
Device- Nexus 6/MMB29V/51.0.2695.0
1. Launch the app
2. Sign into sync
3. Open new tab and tap on omnibox or wait for few min
