"Do you want Google Smart Lock to save your password for this site" bubble wasn't seen on Mac |
||
Issue description
Version: 50.0.2661.57
OS: Mac
What steps will reproduce the problem?
(1) Launch Chrome using below flags :
chrome.exe --force-fieldtrials="PasswordManagerSettingsBehaviourChange/PasswordManagerSettingsBehaviourChange.Active"
(2) Sign-in to Chrome
(3) login to Facebook, Linkedin and aol.com
What is the expected output?
We should get a omnibox password bubble stating "Do you want Google Smart Lock to save your password for this site"
What do you see instead?
Just seeing old password save bubble i.e., "Do you want Google Chrome to save your password"

It's expected that bubble has the old string. The PasswordManagerSettingsBehaviourChange/PasswordManagerSettingsBehaviourChange.Active controls only the behavior and name of the string in the settings.

hmm, how come I see new strings on Linux and Windows.

The string in the bubble is controlled by different experiment, which is enabled by default in some cases. |
