Can't use/uninstall Chrome Canary on Mac

Reported by gretch...@hcn.org, Mar 29 2016

Issue description

UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_9_5) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/49.0.2623.108 Safari/537.36

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Install Canary
2. Try to use
3.

What is the expected behavior?
Canary opens and you can use it.

What went wrong?
Canary launches upon startup of my machine, but I can't use it with "Application not responding." When I try Force Quit, it won't. So, I can't drag the app to the trash because it is considered open.

Did this work before? N/A

Chrome version: 49.0.2623.108 Channel: n/a
OS Version: OS X 10.9.5
Flash Version: Shockwave Flash 21.0 r0

I'd love to get rid of this application. How can I?

Thanks for the report. I am unable to reproduce the above issue on Mac 10.11.4 with chrome version '51.0.2693.2'.

Request you to try removing all the Canary related files from "Macintosh HD > users > username > Library > Application >Support >Google" and then try fresh installing chrome canary and let us know if the issue still persists.

Note: Before doing so, do backup your data as a precaution.

Appreciate your help.

Thank you!

It wouldn't let me because the application was considered open (but not responding). So, I force shutdown my computer. Upon restart, I was actually able to use Canary! and I was able to quit it. So, I did, drug those files and the application to the trash.

So, I'm not having issues any longer and will wait to reinstall Canary once it's no longer Beta.

Good luck! Love the name.
