Confirmed this is a new issue and affects HTML5 Canvas (does not affect SVG graphics, for example).

Chrome 49.0.2623.87 / Mac OS X 10.11.3

Will try to find more explicit steps to reproduce but for now, steps are similar to what is reported above:
- Load a page with a Canvas-based drawing (i.e. a chart for CPU usage in AWS EC2 console)
- Open another tab in same browser window
- After some amount of time if you switch back to original tab, the chart is blank - you must toggle back and forth between tabs for chart to re-draw.

We have an internal application that uses Canvas for drawing charts and same issue. This application is redrawing the charts very frequently (multiple times per minute) - if you switch back to the tab and the chart(s) are blank, even the redraw events that are occurring in the application do not make the chart appear again.

Additionally: this is absolutely a new bug - we have been using our internal application for over a year with the same user behavior (in which we have multiple tabs open). This bug appeared some time after March 13th as far as we can tell.
