Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_11_4) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/49.0.2623.87 Safari/537.36 Example URL: https://www.facebook.com Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. Run chrome on Ubuntu 14.04.1 with a 3M multi-touch display C4667PW plugged, and argument --touch-events=enabled 2. Go to https://www.facebook.com/ sign up form 3. Touch blank zones of the page What is the expected behavior? Blank zones click should do nothing What went wrong? Some links, form elements, or other interactive elements become active, and a click is triggered on touchend. Does it occur on multiple sites: Yes Is it a problem with a plugin? No Did this work before? No Does this work in other browsers? Yes Chrome version: 49.0.2623.87 Channel: stable OS Version: Ubuntu 14.04.4 Flash Version: This issue is a new copy of this issue : https://bugs.chromium.org/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=466564 This issue happens on webkit based browsers on multiple 3M touch devices. Kernel has been upgraded, Touch controller firmware too, and the issue remains. Some specific controllers produce this issue : Bus 001 Device 004: ID 0596:0530 MicroTouch Systems, Inc. (on a 3M C4667PW) Bus 001 Device 004: ID 0596:0517 MicroTouch Systems, Inc. (on a 3M M2467PW) And this controller from 3M is working fine Bus 001 Device 004: ID 0596:0521 MicroTouch Systems, Inc. (on another 3M M2467PW) Some investigations has been done with 3M technical team, and since it's happening only on webkit based browsers (chromium, google-chrome, electron, atom-shell tested), and not on native ubuntu interfaces, nor firefox, it seems to be a webkit/chromium issue.
