Chrome Canary Mac, red line between chrome and web content

Project Member Reported by deanm@chromium.org, Mar 24 2016

Issue description

Version: Version 51.0.2689.0 canary (64-bit)
OS: OS X 10.9.5

There is a red line under the bottom of chrome above the web content, and above the bookmark bar when it is visible. This started happening a few Canary pushes ago, I thought it was obvious enough it would get noticed and fixed but it still seems to be there.

The red line doesn't show when Chrome isn't the current application. This happens on all pages (new tab and anything else).

Jayson has been hacking in this area in preparation for Material Design.

Hello deanm@chromium.org,

Please send a more-complete/larger screenshot. I would like to see the full top of the window and at least a chunk of the web content (maybe navigate to google.com). Thank you.

Also, I assume you're running on a Retina machine?

Comment 3 by deanm@chromium.org, Mar 25 2016

I'm on a Retina machine. I can easily reproduce it by launching chrome with the flag --incognito. It looks almost like some debug code, it is also around the info bar. Screenshots attached.

Thank you for the screenshot and additional info - the --incognito launch flag was key to reproducing the problem, though I'm not sure why that is different than creating a new Incognito window. In any case, I found the problem and am working on landing the fix.

And thank you for reporting this problem.

Author: shrike <shrike@chromium.org>

Fix regression in toolbar and bubble border drawing in Incognito (Mac).

Running with --incognito the toolbar border and some bubble borders
were red. This was a result of an error in a Material Design change.
