WebKit Mac10.11 (retina): Exception steps failed archive_webkit_tests_results

Project Member Reported by battre@chromium.org, Mar 24 2016

Issue description

Build is broken:
archive_webkit_tests_results

Revision range:
chromium 383029 : 383032

Failing builders:
WebKit Mac10.11 (retina): https://build.chromium.org/p/chromium.webkit/builders/WebKit%20Mac10.11%20(retina)

This builder started failing. My naive guess would be a full disk.

Pri-1 due to guess that disk is full and instructions on https://chromium.googlesource.com/infra/infra/+/master/doc/users/contacting_troopers.md

Issue 597703 has been merged into this issue.
Status: WontFix (was: Available)
Disk is fine (at 30%).

It's timing out:
"""
command timed out: 2400 seconds without output, attempting to kill
process killed by signal 9
program finished with exit code -1
elapsedTime=4675.919158
"""

Not sure what I can do... Latest few builds seem fine, so I'll close this ticket. If it happens again, someone who knows what "archive_webkit_tests_results" is should take a look. Perhaps it can fail more gracefully in case of network slowdowns.

Build #976 failed, so this is still an issue. I'm re-opening it.

My first guess, since this started happening last night, is that bug 597688 is causing the archives to be enormous due to all of the stderr logging, and it's taking too long to upload. It could also be the case that we're timing out due to excessive master load.

I recently reverted the change that introduced the logging, so hopefully this'll clear up.

If it doesn't, and we are seeing network slowness that is so slow that it's causing that step to take 55+ minutes to upload to GCS, we need to figure out what's wrong; normally that step only takes a couple of minutes to complete.

This builder has been green for the last 20+ builds, so marking Fixed.
