Status bar not displaying on Win10

Reported by nie.mam....@gmail.com, Mar 23 2016

Issue description

UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.3; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/51.0.2687.0 Safari/537.36

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Hover over a hyperlink

What is the expected behavior?
Status bar with hyperlink address shows up.

What went wrong?
Status bar with hyperlink address did not show up.

Did this work before? Yes Previous dev channel version.

Chrome version: 51.0.2687.0 Channel: dev
OS Version: 6.3
Flash Version: Shockwave Flash 21.0 r0

Problem appears both with and without hardware acceleration enabled.
It does not appear on my other dev channel install, under Debian (stretch/sid).

I confirm this in Chrome 51.0.2687.0 dev-m on Windows 7 64 bits.
Same as you, the hardware acceleration does not change anything.

Same here 51.0.2687.0 dev-m (win10 x64, win7 x64)

Comment 4 by geki...@gmail.com, Mar 24 2016

must be a regression, think it worked with the prev dev-m version
Confirmed here (51.0.2687.0 dev-m) 32-bit. Windows 10.
Seeing this with Version 51.0.2687.0 dev-m (64-bit) on Windows 8.1
Confirmed here, Version 51.0.2687.0 dev-m (64-bit) Win 10 64
Problem disappeared from my install after update to 51.0.2693.2.

Yep, same. Just updated to Version 51.0.2693.2 dev-m (64-bit) and hovering over links works as expected.
