WebGL hit a snag on fresh nvidia drivers

Issue description

UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/49.0.2623.87 Safari/537.36

Example URL:
www.blend4web.com

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1.Open any webpage with heavy WebGL content

What is the expected behavior?
You should see WebGL content, obviously

What went wrong?
You'll see "WebGL hit a snag" after a few seconds

Does it occur on multiple sites: Yes

Is it a problem with a plugin? No 

Did this work before? N/A 

Does this work in other browsers? Yes 

Chrome version: 49.0.2623.87  Channel: stable
OS Version: Arch Linux
Flash Version: Shockwave Flash 21.0 r0

Any heavy WebGL pages are causing it. E.g. www.blend4web.com or maps.google.com
This bug has come with not so recent gpu-drivers update to nvidia-361.28. It is not reproduced on nvidia-340.96-8.

It is also reproduced on beta(50) and canary(51) Chrome builds.

Everything works correctly on Firefox on both drivers.

Tested on Ubuntu 14.04 an observed no issues using chrome latest stable M49-49.0.2623.87 and latest dev M51-51.0.2679.0 by opening the provided WEBGL page www.blend4web.com. Might be specific to GPU related issue. So requesting someone from WEBGL team to further look in to it.

Submitter: what Linux distribution and version are you running?

QA team: could you please try to figure out a way to install the version of the graphics driver specified by the submitter? I do not see an easy way to do so on by Ubuntu 14.04 workstation. Currently I'm running the 355.06 drivers and see no problems.

Olli: is there any way you or your group could try to reproduce this report in house?

Hello Olli,
I am Using Arch Linux.
I've tried downgrading to the 358.16 drivers and this problem has also been reproduced.

Downgrading further to 352 drivers wasn't successful because of difficulties with linux kernel, but I'll try it tomorrow.

Could you also try with --no-sand-box --disable-gpu-sandbox and see if it helps.
"--no-sandbox" I think is the first flag.

Though Chrome is yelling at me about unsupported flags, both of them help and WebGL content works perfectly. So what does this mean to us?

That indicates an incompatibility between Chromium's GPU sandbox and NVIDIA's latest drivers. Security team, can we get some help reproducing this and figuring out what's causing the drivers to crash?

I was able to reproduce this crash on another system (also Arch Linux) with Nvidia GTX 560. Tested it on gtx 650 and 680 and haven't observed any issues. So, most likely, this only happens on Fermi GPUs.

Sorry, but we don't have the configuration to reproduce this bug. We test on GeForce GT 610s running Ubuntu on a continuous basis, and don't see this problem.
