Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; rv:44.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/44.0 Example URL: Any HTTPS Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. Visit a HTTPS site 2. 3. What is the expected behavior? Site displays fine What went wrong? Chrome error page is received, ERR_BAD_SSL_CLIENT_AUTH_CERT Does it occur on multiple sites: Yes Is it a problem with a plugin? No Did this work before? N/A Does this work in other browsers? Yes Chrome version: 49.0.2623.87 m Channel: stable OS Version: XP Flash Version: unknown - this is a LAN of Windows XP systems, on which IE 8 access to the same pages work just fine. - issue is *intermittent*, one time it works, the other it doesn't - LAN is behind a fortinet fortigate 60 UTM, without a support contract for some years now. System is used as a filtering bridge, mainly to block access to specific URLs. - Internet Explorer 8 works just fine to the same sites and on the same times. - I have taken a net-internals log, but please let me know how it can be sent to you privately.

Does this occur on Windows 7 or later? Per https://chrome.googleblog.com/2015/11/updates-to-chrome-platform-support.html, we're not supporting Windows XP for very much longer. No code changes we make now will ever show up on XP.

I only have Windows XP clients on that LAN. Can I send privately my log?

Per https://chrome.googleblog.com/2015/11/updates-to-chrome-platform-support.html, support for Chrome on Windows XP is ending very soon. Since XP has also since been EOL'd by Microsoft, I would recommend you upgrade to a newer version of your operating system. If you're still having issues on a supported version, please do feel free to file a new ticket and we'll look at it from there.

With all due respect, it feels you were too eager to closer this as awontfux, especially considering that I do have a log and that XP systems in other network segments operate just fine... Please consider reopening this issue.

Feel free to mail me a net-internals log if you like, but the only thing I can do is help you debug a problem in your deployment. As I said, if there's a change needed in Chrome, nothing we land on trunk today will ever be shipped on XP.

Thanks, I've sent you the log. As for confirming it: if you do find something Chrome related, I'll bring in a Windows 7+ portable to confirm the issue's presence in this lan. |
