Clearing network tab data hides open websocket connections

Project Member Reported by eostroukhov@chromium.org, Mar 17 2016

Issue description

Version: any
OS: Linux

1. Open an application that talks to a server over web sockets (I was looking at Blink web tools).
2. In the network pane, observe that web sockets connection is shown and request/responses can be explored.
3. Click Clear

Expected:
Connection becomes visible again when new requests or responses are transmitted.

Result:
Websocket connection is not shown even as more requests and responses are transmitted.

Same Problem when the Dev Tools are opened after initiating the Websocket.

IMO it would be nice if active websocket connections would be visible in any case, even if there is no communication.

I don't think I will be working on this any time soon. Do you have another bug for this?
