MacViews(browser): Browser action bubbles can appear with a second, "ghost" arrow |
||||||
Issue descriptionChrome Version : 51.0.2680.0 OS Version: OS X 10.11.3 What steps will reproduce the problem? 1. Build mac_views_browser=1 on Mac 2. Install Chromecast or another extension with a browser action popup 3. Click it What is the expected result? Bubble should appear with a single arrow, and correct shadows, on the top-right What happens instead of that? *sometimes* the Bubble has a second arrow on the top-left, but it's "just" the shadow. It looks like the window server is using a shadow from an old bubble shape and failing to update it. The bubble is also missing a shadow around the bottom ~third of the window, so this might be something to do with an animation that shows the bubble, and is failing to synchronize the shadow with the window mask for the final update. Sometimes the bubble looks fine, so this might be some kind of race with the window server, or a frame from the compositor.

Harmony dialogs don't use arrows so maybe this bug can be closed out?

Think changing to P3 might be more appropriate, since investigating this still might uncover some bugs.

r527792 removed the arrow from extension popups, so this is obsolete now. |
