Please confirm my understanding: you're saying that Windows is telling you that no target can be found for the Chrome shortcuts on your computers. If this is the case, then it is a result of some other software deleting chrome.exe. This sometimes happens when anti-virus software mistakenly quarantines Chrome. Please check to see if you are running any anti-virus or other security software, and if any such software is reporting that Chrome has been quarantined. Otherwise, I suggest you check these computers for signs of other software that could be interfering with Chrome.

It may be interesting if you could provide C:\Windows\Temp\chrome_installer.log so we can rule out a problem with Chrome's updater.

Thanks.
