Application Version (from "Chrome Settings > About Chrome"): 50.0.2661.26
Android Build Number (from "Android Settings > About Phone/Tablet"): MHC19M
Device: Nexus 5x
Is Merge Tabs and Apps enabled: Yes
Steps to reproduce:
1) Use the GSA and do a Google search for, e.g., "AlphaGo Game 5"
2) Click on a result from the SRP which opens a tab in Chrome.
3) Go back to the home screen
4) Run some other (non-Chrome) apps on the device for a while - I assume this causes the Chrome tab to get evicted.
5) Tap on the Android recents button
6) Tap on the previously-opened Chrome tab from step 2
Observed behavior:
The tab opens up blank with "about:blank" in the omnibox.
Expected behavior:
The original page contents should load.
Frequency:
I can reproduce this fairly reliably as long as I run programs in step 4 that are memory-intensive.
