After power wash, files held hostage by recovery system |
||||||||||||||||||
Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/49.0.2623.75 Safari/537.36 Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. I power washed a c720 i3 chromebook after my son stole it and power washed it to break the (easiy broken) security system. 2. When I tried to log in, it said something like "This account has stranded files. Type your password to recover these files." 3. No password for my account (dwgillies@gmail.com) worked. I have only ever had ONE password on that account, which was the one logging in. I tried that password 7 times, then said "go ahead and delete the files", and logged in assuming the computer was experiencing a bug. What is the expected behavior? It should allow you to restore the stranded files. What went wrong? It should tell you what password it is expecting because it certainly isn't the password from the account that I was logging into. Did this work before? N/A Chrome version: 49.0.2623.75 Channel: stable OS Version: 49 Flash Version: Shockwave Flash 20.0 r0
