Not just twitter or upwork, many sites are experiencing the same problem. For ex: elementary.io and even the chrome's new download manager page is also not CSS applied. Included screenshots for the same. Here is the text from developer console and also attached screenshot of the same on twitter site: Failed to decode downloaded font: https://abs.twimg.com/a/1457833503/font/rosetta-icons-Regular.woff (index):1 Failed to decode downloaded font: https://abs.twimg.com/a/1457833503/font/rosetta-icons-Regular.ttf init.2d14663….js:363 POST https://twitter.com/i/videoads/v2/prerolls.json net::ERR_BLOCKED_BY_CLIENTsend @ init.2d14663….js:363n.extend.ajax @ init.2d14663….js:351JSONRequest @ init.2d14663….js:642post @ init.2d14663….js:642fetchAds @ boot.0d9b154….js:393fetchAdsAndCache @ boot.0d9b154….js:393initialAdFetch @ boot.0d9b154….js:393(anonymous function) @ boot.0d9b154….js:393(anonymous function) @ init.2d14663….js:495(anonymous function) @ init.2d14663….js:495(anonymous function) @ init.2d14663….js:499n.extend.each @ init.2d14663….js:69n.fn.n.each @ init.2d14663….js:61j @ init.2d14663….js:499module.exports @ boot.0d9b154….js:778module.exports @ timeline.52e11aa….js:428(anonymous function) @ init.2d14663….js:1192e @ init.2d14663….js:1192b @ init.2d14663….js:1196z.complete @ init.2d14663….js:434b @ init.2d14663….js:445z.complete @ init.2d14663….js:434(anonymous function) @ init.2d14663….js:439z.complete @ init.2d14663….js:434D.complete @ init.2d14663….js:445(anonymous function) @ init.2d14663….js:444l @ init.2d14663….js:455z.complete @ init.2d14663….js:434b @ init.2d14663….js:445z.complete @ init.2d14663….js:434(anonymous function) @ init.2d14663….js:439z.complete @ init.2d14663….js:434D.complete @ init.2d14663….js:445(anonymous function) @ init.2d14663….js:444l @ init.2d14663….js:455z.complete @ init.2d14663….js:434b @ init.2d14663….js:445z.complete @ init.2d14663….js:434(anonymous function) @ init.2d14663….js:439z.complete @ init.2d14663….js:434D.complete @ init.2d14663….js:445(anonymous function) @ init.2d14663….js:444l @ init.2d14663….js:455z.complete @ init.2d14663….js:434b @ init.2d14663….js:445z.complete @ init.2d14663….js:434(anonymous function) @ init.2d14663….js:439z.complete @ init.2d14663….js:434D.complete @ init.2d14663….js:445(anonymous function) @ init.2d14663….js:444l @ init.2d14663….js:455z.complete @ init.2d14663….js:434b @ init.2d14663….js:445z.complete @ init.2d14663….js:434(anonymous function) @ init.2d14663….js:439z.complete @ init.2d14663….js:434D.complete @ init.2d14663….js:445(anonymous function) @ init.2d14663….js:444l @ init.2d14663….js:455z.complete @ init.2d14663….js:434b @ init.2d14663….js:445z.complete @ init.2d14663….js:434(anonymous function) @ init.2d14663….js:439z.complete @ init.2d14663….js:434D.complete @ init.2d14663….js:445(anonymous function) @ init.2d14663….js:444l @ init.2d14663….js:455z.complete @ init.2d14663….js:434b @ init.2d14663….js:445z.complete @ init.2d14663….js:434(anonymous function) @ init.2d14663….js:439z.complete @ init.2d14663….js:434D.complete @ init.2d14663….js:445(anonymous function) @ init.2d14663….js:444l @ init.2d14663….js:455z.complete @ init.2d14663….js:434b @ init.2d14663….js:445z.complete @ init.2d14663….js:434(anonymous function) @ init.2d14663….js:439z.then @ init.2d14663….js:431B.start @ init.2d14663….js:439(anonymous function) @ init.2d14663….js:440z.complete @ init.2d14663….js:434A.loaded @ init.2d14663….js:439C.loaded @ init.2d14663….js:443b.onreadystatechange.b.onload @ init.2d14663….js:437 www.google.com/ads/ga-audiences?v=1&aip=1&t=sr&_r=4&tid=UA-30775-6&cid=742928670.1457596374&jid=769347888&_v=j41&z=1333176040:1 GET https://www.google.com/ads/ga-audiences?v=1&aip=1&t=sr&_r=4&tid=UA-30775-6&cid=742928670.1457596374&jid=769347888&_v=j41&z=1333176040 net::ERR_BLOCKED_BY_CLIENT 692634046338244608:1 Failed to decode downloaded font: https://amp.twimg.com/amplify-web-player/prod/styles/font/rosetta-icons-Regular.woff 692634046338244608:1 Failed to decode downloaded font: https://amp.twimg.com/amplify-web-player/prod/styles/font/rosetta-icons-Regular.ttf

AFAK, enabling the Windows Firewall Service will solve this problem. I did this to help some guys out. You may check the status of Windows Firewall Service on your machine. See links below: http://superuser.com/questions/957907/unable-to-install-fonts-on-windows-10 https://www.reddit.com/r/Windows10/comments/3fb8ya/cannot_install_any_fonts_at_all

Just find out that this issue has been fixed. https://bugs.chromium.org/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=586291

I am using windows firewall and its not disabled. Unfortunately none of the links that you shared to fix the problem were able to help me in this regard.

This seems Webpage rendering engine level problem. propagated to opera browser too! :) Anyway, Bug ID: 586291 says its fixed and expected to be shipped in Chrome 50 release. Any idea when is the next update release?

Hi pavan.gayakwad@, Have you disabled DirectWrite? chrome://flags/#disable-direct-write If you flip this flag, does the problem disappear?
,
Mar 18 2016
you nailed it! After Enabling DirectWrite flag, everything seems perfect!! so there sits the bug!! :)
,
Mar 18 2016
(cc:ing DirectWrite experts) Thanks for the info. Just to confirm... The DirectWrite flag is enabled by default. You disabled it, correct?
,
Mar 18 2016
Yes, I intentionally disabled it, it was enabled by default.
,
Mar 18 2016
This was mitigation related or something (maybe?)
,
Mar 21 2016
Sorry Scott. Font-related mitigation on Win10 only landed in M50. (For ref: https://bugs.chromium.org/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=504006)
,
Apr 2 2016
So it means the fix can be seen only in Chrome 50 release? Is the bug at DirectWrite level fixed?
