Regression: Long URLs has no longer 3 periods (...) at the end of the visible part in the Omnibox |

Issue descriptionVersion: 49.0.2623.87 OS: Windows 7 What steps will reproduce the problem? (1) visit a very long URL so that it doesn't fit completely into the Omnibox (2) take a look at the end of the visible part of the URL in the Omnibox What is the expected output? What do you see instead? I expect 3 periods (...) to visualize that the URL is longer than to see. Please use labels and text to provide additional information. This seems to be a regression on Windows. Also in Canary. It works fine on Mac. If you need more information, please let me know.

This is Specific to Windows and Linux, Where in the same work's fine on Mac. This should be type=Feature, Since I have checked all the way until Chrome Version M27 and could see (...) when I tried to open a long url. mehmet@ please let me know if I am wrong, based on that I will mark the bug accordingly.

Windows has intentionally never behaved this way, at least to my knowledge. |
