WebFonts: show more information in 'Rendered Fonts' box of DevTools |
||
Issue descriptionNow, it shows just something like "Roboto - 6glyphs". In terms of bug triage, this isn't enough information to understand what happens in a user's environment. Firefox provides more useful information in its Inspector Fonts view, e.g. > Roboto remote > http://<actual url...> (woff) > ... If possible, showing remote/local, and actual font file path for remote fonts would be very useful especially in cases using Google Fonts or similar service.

While diagnosing issue 637485 it became apparent that it would also be beneficial to break down the family information with style information (weight, width, slant). Especially weight, since it is now common for there to be 6 actual weights on a device.

Ideally we could also try to show the CSS file where the font declaration is located.

And show which of the @font-face declarations are used. |
