Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Ubuntu Chromium/48.0.2564.116 Chrome/48.0.2564.116 Safari/537.36 Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. Open Google.com 2. click Search by voice with Mic icon 3. and enjoy (not) What is the expected behavior? speech recognition and NO errors What went wrong? speech recognition failed with message "No Internet Connection Error" Did this work before? Yes a day (or 2) ago Chrome version: 48.0.2564.116 Channel: stable OS Version: Mint 17.3 Flash Version: Shockwave Flash 11.2 r999 This computer does have internet and this error message is misleading. I verified content settings are correct for microphone. Mic works in Skype. This effects all other microphone apps in browser (https://dictation.io/ and https://dictanote.co/ to name a couple)

Same thing here only with windows 7 worked before update & now it does not with any voice extensions from google

Tested in chrome # 59.0.3071.115 and Canary #61.0.3148.0 on Ubuntu 14.04 & win 7 and not able to reproduce the issue.Please find the screen cast for your reference. @Reporter:Could you please let me know if i have missed anything and if possible,Please create new profile without extensions and apps.Re-check once in latest stable / Canary and let us know the observations of the issue which would help us to triage the issue further.
