Feature Request: Layout test detection of in-flight XHR (etc.) |
||||||||
Issue descriptionIt would be great if the layout test runner could warn when an XMLHttpRequest (or other activity) is still running when a test completes, as this is likely to be an indication of a bug (e.g. a failure to call testRunner.waitUntilDone()).

Given that there's an initiative to move all layout tests to the WPT testharness.js, would this feature request be better off in that repo? https://github.com/w3c/testharness.js/

I'd imagined this being implemented in Blink's C++ code (which knows about active objects like XHR), but I wouldn't object to someone proposing some feature in testharness.

I don't remember what test I was looking at originally. I still think this would be useful, but it may be low-priority enough that it realistically won't ever happen. It hasn't been a problem for me personally lately, at least.
