That's the difference between subpixel AA and grayscale AA. Did we make any composition changes in 49 that might have changed AA or layer promotion?

jakob.jarosch@: Could you please confirm the OS platform where you are seeing this issue?

Tested this on Windows-7 on chrome version: 49.0.2623.87, 51.0.2672.0 and 48.0.2564.116 but didn't observe any major difference in rendering b/w these chrome versions. Would be great if you could attach any sample test file to test and provide a reliable bisect result. Also, please let us know the behavior of this on chrome canary.

Thank you!

Hi, we tried it again in chrome canary and there is the problem no longer visible. So we will stick with chrome 48 until chrom 51 is released. Shouldn't be a problem.

We tried to build a sample test file, but we where unable to reproduce the problem without the javascript avaiable on the page.
Also it doesn't occur on all PCs. We had the issues with a Windows 10 machine on one of our XEN servers and on a Windows 7 machine of one of our developers.
