Open Recent Tab like desktop instead of clobbering |
|||
Issue descriptionUI Review approved new Recents tab opening behavior (match desktop): https://groups.google.com/a/google.com/forum/#!topic/chrome-ui-review/qSrbilLIelo Flows from nyquist@ 1) foo.com -> bar.com -> overflow -> recents -> open a recent -> click web page entry for norway is beautiful Result: Open a new tab with pretty pictures, but remove chrome://newtab#recent from source tab 2) NTP -> open recent tab -> click web page entry for norway is amazing Result: Clobber current tab with pretty pictures (we don't need to launch a new tab and leave the NTP/Recents page hanging) Leave longpress menu as is. Assigning to tedchoc@ for triage. Related bug: https://bugs.chromium.org/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=572819

Tangentially: would we be up for adding UMA to this page at all to determine how many people are long-pressing the links and opening in new tab from there?
