Recipe properties should infer a valid name |

Issue description
Right now, dotted names ('event.patchset') are not allowed as new-style properties in recipes, because these cannot be used as python argument names. The current workaround for this is to specify a "param_name" to the property.
Maybe we should infer the param name; replace dots with underscores, etc...
