Crash when opening new tab

Issue description

UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux armv7l; rv:44.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/44.0 Iceweasel/44.0.2

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Open chromium
2. navigate to www.hexagonjs.io
3. before that page has finished loading, try to open a new tab

What is the expected behavior?
I should be able to open a new tab

What went wrong?
THe entire browser crashes

Crashed report ID: It says "Crash reporting is disabled"

How much crashed? Whole browser

Is it a problem with a plugin? N/A 

Did this work before? N/A

Unable to repro this issue on Ubuntu Trusty (14.04) for Google Chrome Stable Version - 48.0.2564.116 & Chromium Version - 48.0.2564.82

@simms.george.gs: Could you please perform the steps mentioned beneath and let us know your observations.

1. Update your Google Chrome to Latest Stable Version - 48.0.2564.116 & Chromium Version - 48.0.2564.82
2. Re-test the same on a clean profile [chrome://settings -> Add Person]
3. Provide us the Crash ID [chrome://crashes]

Closing the issue as there is no update on this for long and issue is not reproducible from our end. Requesting you to file a new issue if this happens on the latest chromium build as well. The reported chrome version is very old.
