Description:
An API that makes the current battery status available to a kiosk application, so that the application can display the remaining battery somewhere on screen.

Use case:
A number of Chrome enterprise customers deploy kiosk mode on Chromebooks for the purposes of VDI.  While Kiosk mode was envisioned for plugged in devices, more and more customers are using it with a VDI solution as a thin client replacement.

Motivation:
It is important for these users to be able to see how much battery life is left on the device even while in kiosk mode, such that they don't risk losing any important work unexpectedly.

Existing workarounds:
Not sure any exist today.
