in xorg.conf, user should be able to specify bounds (in mm) of the crop region.

Fingers outside of the region will be dropped. I don't think any fancy thought needs to be given to tracking IDs: if a finger leaves the region and then comes back, we can re-use the same tracking ID. This will make implementation easy.
