All tryserver.chromium.mac tryjobs fail with red+purple codes

Project Member Reported by primiano@chromium.org, Feb 29 2016

Issue description

See all recent builds in
https://build.chromium.org/p/tryserver.chromium.mac/builders/mac_chromium_10.10_rel_ng/

All trybots on this bot fail with a combination of red+purple exit codes. none of the stdio links seem to work.

See also "[infra-dev] stdio for swarmed perf tests?" for more context

[mac triage] Maybe related to Issue 515627

https://build.chromium.org/p/tryserver.chromium.mac/builders/mac_chromium_10.10_rel_ng/ hasn't been purple for the last ~hour (10 cycles), but it's probably too much to hope that this is resolved.
I tried reproing test failures on a local machine, but no luck.

I don't have time to look into this in the near future, but the next steps should be:
1. Take a bot that regularly fails offline.
2. VNC in, run the relevant test with a single shard, pipe output to a file, and use that to figure out exactly which test is failing.
3. Use this information to figure out which line is causing the crash. I'm currently guessing something involving layers or window management for extensions.

This bot has been quite green lately, or hasn't had much purple flake. Reopen if there's still outstanding work that needs to be done here.
