Add tests to ensure Origin Trials framework is disabled in WebView |
||||||
Issue descriptionThe EF should be disabled in Android WebView, primarily because the necessary infrastructure isn't available (e.g. Finch, UMA). Manual testing verified that the EF is disabled, because WebView doesn't implement the embedder interface to provide the public signing key. Automated tests need to be added to verify the EF remains disabled in WebView.

This issue has been Available for over a year. If it's no longer important or seems unlikely to be fixed, please consider closing it out. If it is important, please re-triage the issue. Sorry for the inconvenience if the bug really should have been left as Available. If you change it back, also remove the "Hotlist-Recharge-Cold" label. Borderline on whether to just close this. For trials to be enabled in WebView, it would require explicit code changes to fully implement the embedder interface. That seems pretty unlikely to happen by accident. On the other hand, it seems like adding a basic test shouldn't take too much effort (no idea though). Leaving this open one more time. If it comes back around and still untouched, then we can close it. |
