Did this happen with older builds or did it just start happening with this build? There's an archive of builds from chromium.org here: http://build.chromium.org/buildbot/continuous/linux64/
i saw one yesterday, then didnt reproduce.
today it happened 4 times in a row, so i installed gdb packages and got a trace.

since then, it hasnt happened again :S
Summary: NotificationService crash inside a URLRequestHttpJob (was: NULL)
Does the browser just crash itself while sitting idle or did you take some action, like closing a tab?

Anyone want to look at the stacktrace?
two of the times it was restoring previously crashed session.
the other two was seconds after opening a tab.
cant really tell what the address was
Looks like the NotificationService is NULL. It would be helpful to see _all_ thread stacktraces, not just the current one. Please run `thread apply all bt` in gdb.
Happened when closing a tab

That's a SIGPIPE. You should ignore that in gdb. See if you can repro the NotificationService crash and post that.
