Issue 544536: With the removal of Notifications Center, I can't just mark all notifications as read

Reported by nunomigu...@gmail.com, Oct 17 2015

Issue description

UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/47.0.2526.16 Safari/537.36

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Get 5+ notifications
2. Close all of them

What is the expected behavior?
Have the Notifications Center, which includes a button to mark all notifications as read, i.e., close all of them with just one click.

What went wrong?
Now I need to close all of them manually, which is really inconvenient.

Did this work before? Yes Versions prior to 47.

Chrome version: 47.0.2526.16 Channel: beta
OS Version: 10.0
Flash Version: Shockwave Flash 19.0 r0

I can't see what was wrong with the Notifications Center. Now I don't seem to have control of the notifications from Chrome.

Thanks for the report. I'm going to mark this as a feature request, and cc a few interested team members, but no guarantees that we will be able to address this soon.

This should only be a problem for websites like Google Calendar that enable https://notifications.spec.whatwg.org/#require-interaction-preference-flag.

Quickly dismissing multiple notifications is likely blocked on issue 326539 and issue 516147 which track switching to native notification centers on Mac and Windows (which hopefully provide such functionality; if they do not, our hands will be tied anyway).

Native notification centers probably won't allow closing all notifications from a specific domain (e.g. calendar.google.com) as requested by duped issue 609617 , but there's nothing we can really do about that.

We're moving to native notification centers on all platforms which will enable you to do this.

I think "Fixed" is more correct status per comment 9.
