Some corporate customers will want to customize the contents of the new tab page via policy in order to specify:
- format of new tab page
- which page Thumbnails are displayed

this should be for all platforms, not just Mac

This is often requested by enterprise businesses that need to push the Gmail Offline app to their users while opening a new tab : much easier for an end-user than installing the app themselves.
How soon this may get implemented ?
Thanks a lot.
Gmail offline can be installed with the ExtensionInstallForcelist policy (http://www.chromium.org/administrators/policy-list-3#ExtensionInstallForcelist).

The new tab page can be replaced by extensions, which can also be installed with the ExtensionInstallForcelist policy. For example, installing https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/dpjamkmjmigaoobjbekmfgabipmfilij?hl=en replaces the new tab page with an empty page.

Our canonical answer to this request is to build an extension that replaces the NTP. Closing.
