Unable to connect trough proxy
Reported by codeexpl...@gmail.com, May 26 2010 Back to list
Chrome Version : 5.0.375.55 beta
OS: Crunchbang(ubuntu)

I cannot enter a webpage using chromium, im running crunchbang(ubuntu
distro),and i cannot set the proxy configuration.

The proxy uses authentication, i want to be able to use chrome.

Accountname:visitor01
Password:Logon123
Proxy:jbesk-student1
Port:8080
Domain:JBESK

By exporting http_proxy="http://JBESK/visitor01:Logon123@jbesk-student1:8080"
or starting with --http-proxy=jbesk-student1:8080

They both result in : Error 102 (net::ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED): Unknown error

Im not afraid of my username&password being published.

wget, apt-get and everythings work by exporting
http_proxy="http://JBESK/visitor01:Logon123@jbesk-student1:8080
except for chrome :(
I think that i solved this problem by my self, how:

export all_proxy="http://JBESK\visitor01:Logon123@jbesk-student1:8080"
