XMPP Extensions API

Issue description

Design and implement an xmpp api for extensions.
It can use an xmpp client code used in bookmark-sync feature.

I think one can use NPAPI ( http://code.google.com/chrome/extensions/npapi.html ) to do 
that...

is this one still valid now that they are implementing extension sync?  issue 32413 
@fabio4rulez, yes this bug is about an experimental chrome extensions API and not about "extension sync"  issue 32413  (which keeps the same extensions in all your Chrome-installations)

We have no plans to implement an API like this. It's more likely that we'd implement something lower level on which XMPP could be built.
