Reported by, Apr 9 2013

Issue description

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Go to in android chrome 26
2. Type in something, it'll show below the field. Then try hitting backspace.

What is the expected behavior?
Backspace should fire keydup.

What went wrong?
Backspace doesn't fires keyup (or keydown).

Did this work before? N/A

Chrome version: 26.0.1410.58 Channel: stable
OS Version: 4.2.2

This works fine in chrome 26 on my android ICS but with this nexus 4 build it doesn't.
This happens for input[type="number"] and input[type="tel"] (and maybe more, but those 2 are what i tested).
observed for input[type="password"] also. Chrome for iOS functions correctly. Bug only found on Chrome 26 for Android.

@tkent, this is affecting Microsoft Office. Do you know of an owner for this?
